WINTER 2001
DOCTOR NEWS | TIMEOUT | HEART DISEASE
We are delighted to welcome back Dr Heppell to complete his training for General practice. He will be with us into the spring .
We are also pleased to have Dr Lazenby with us on a regular basis .
She is supporting Dr Harker as he is involved in the development of Darlington Primary Care Group as it looks to take over much of the work of Durham Health Authority
ON THURSDAY 15th NOVEMBER AFTERNOON there will be emergency service only.
RING 462168 if you need urgent advice or attention
The surgery will be CLOSED.
This will offer all our staff - receptionists, doctors, and administrative staff the opportunity to join staff from all the other surgeries in town on a training afternoon. We believe everyone, patients and staff will benefit in the near future from these sessions which will be held every 2 months.
Many other parts of the country close down like this and it is the best way for all our staff to have the chance to keep up to date with the rapid change of modern General Practice.
We are committed to special care of our heart disease patients and we are arranging more and more checks of blood pressure and cholesterol . We welcome practice nurse Anna Harvey to assist us with this important work and Bev Purdie to take blood samples and ECGs Sister Angela Gill will be starting Heart Clinics in December in line with National Guidelines.
