Dr Upshall will be taking a six-week sabbatical starting in March.

Congratulations 1

We would like to congratulate Dr Bruggink and her husband Jonathon on the birth of their baby son's Joseph and Samuel. Weighing in at 6lbs13oz and 5lbs10oz, on Wednesday 30th January.

Fond Farewell

We would like to say a fond farewell to Dr Heppell who will be leaving us in March. We would like to thank him for all his support and commitment to the practice, and wish him and his family all the very best for the future.

Heart Disease

The Practice is committed to increasing supervision of Heart Disease and Heart Disease prevention. This has been advised by the Government who have set up national service frameworks, which give us guidance and guidelines of work we have to do. This involves a lot of work for the doctors and nurses but we are keen to reduce Heart Disease in the area and you will notice that we are now trying to do more blood pressure checks and advise on smoking.

Reception News

Could patients please note that the Surgery is only open until 11am on Saturdays, for emergencies only.

Comments from suggestion box: "

Why can't we make appointments more than 1 months in advance, can the computer not do this."

Reply from reception: " The computer system can book up to 6 months in advance. The doctors cannot say 6 months in advance if they will be available on a particular day/week. One month is considered to be reasonable, and past experience of booking appts too far in advance has proved to increase the DNA's, thus resulting in a waste of GP's time".

Congratulations 2

We would like to congratulate Lesley, and her husband Kim on the birth of their baby daughter Holly. A little sister for Chloe, weighing in at 10lbs. Best wishes from all your friends and colleagues.

Summer Travel

As ever everybody is booking up holidays and we wish you all an enjoyable holiday.

Unfortunately due to pressure on nurse appointments we have been unable to satisfy the demands for vaccinations. We would advise you contact other centers, such as the British Airways Clinic to arrange your vaccinations.
