Doctor News

We are delighted to welcome a new addition to our team, Dr Peter Whitney he will be with the practice for the next year, and will be covering mainly for Dr Harker.

Unfortunately it means we have to say a fond farewell to Dr Frank Cooke, we would like to thank him for his work in the practice and wish him well in the future. Staff and patients alike will miss him.

We would also like to inform you that Dr Christy Chou will also be leaving the surgery as a GP from the 30 April 03. He will still be seen within the building but in his role as the minor ops specialist continuing his work for the PCT.

Nurse News

We would like to welcome a new practice nurse, Margaret Garland to the surgery. Not only will she see patients in routine surgery but she also specialises in Diabetes/Asthma Care and Family Planning.

Hay fever Season

If you already receive treatment for Hay fever you do not need to see your GP, your script will already be on repeat. The doctors at this surgery do not usually give injections for Hay fever.

The surgery will be closed for Easter and May bank holidays as follows:

For Test Results please ring between 2-4.30 pm.

For a Repeat Prescription please ring 749562 between 10-11amd & 2-3.30 pm.

Patient Information

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all patients who are kept waiting for any length of time. Unfortunately some patient’s needs are greater than others and sometimes this is unavoidable. Patients who find that they arrive more than 10/15 minutes late for their appointment may find they cannot be seen, and will be required to re-arrange their appointment for another day and time.

Summer Travel

As ever, everybody is booking up for their summer holidays and we wish you all an enjoyable time.

You may need to check your travel arrangements with your travel agent if you are planning to visit a country, which may be affected by the current war in Iraq or any other political events, which may affect your, travel arrangements.

If you require vaccinations for you holiday please book an appointment for 6-8 weeks before travel date, in the travel clinic. If you are planning an extended stay abroad of more than 4 weeks please book in to the travel clinic as soon as possible to discuss your travel needs.
