THE PLACE

The present Whinfield Surgery originated from a Friendly Society Practice based at Eastmount Road at the turn of the century, moving through premises at Station Road, Haughton Road and Parkgate Health Centre to its present site at Whinfield. Initially opened in 1982 as a branch surgery the building has been developed in stages to its present size - the most recent development being in 1997/98.

THE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE TEAM

Six partners, six nurses and a healthcare assistant are based at Whinfield and care for approximately 12,300 patients from 8:30 am until 6:00 pm. A chiropodist, midwives, health visitors, dietician, counsellor and district nurses are also involved in regular clinics at the surgery.

Practice Administration Team

Practice Manager: Mrs Karol Curry

Responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice. Mrs Curry will help if you have a problem, criticism or suggestion you would like to discuss. She may be contacted if you are unhappy with the service you have been offered and welcomes any comments you would like to make. We have a full complement of administrative staff to support the doctors and nurses and to help provide you with a first class service. Our team consists of:
